Poker Stars Affiliate Program with MGR?

PokerStars Affiliate Program

Updated 6/4/08 – Back from vacation I noticed another rakeback thread on the PAP forums where we get a post from Carly that while Poker Stars does not allow rakeback, but that they do seem to indeed offer MGR (nice!!).

MGR’s offered to Supa Affiliates only, with no rakebackers what so ever, nor do they provide the means to the affiliates to calculate rakeback amounts.

Rakeback is absolutely not allowed at PokerStars and in no way would we work with an affiliate who provided this. Affiliates who are on revenue share receive no individual tracker information, and nor will we confirm that a particular player is signed up to the affiliate.

PokerStars never has, and never will work with affiliates who claim to
provide rakeback to players, and nor will affiliates have the means to do so.

Any PokerStars affiliate founds to be offering rakeback would be in
violation of our terms and subject to termination.

Here is the original thread: Does pokerstars allow rakeback or not where I pulled Carly’s response.

I have to be honest, when I asked about it I was told it wasn’t even possible… I guess I’m not a “Super Affiliate”. I have no idea what MGR PokerStars offers, but I would expect it to be around 30%.

Word on the streets threads at Poker Affiliate Programs is that Poker Stars.com is considering going to an MGR offering… I of course touched base with the AM, but for the short term, that seems to be shot down right now according to the message I received from my AM. I’ve got what she said and a link to her post in the PAP forums in the article…

PokerStars.com has to be one of the most well retaining poker rooms of any online as they are by far the largest and offer no kind of rake back and they still dominate the online poker world. Being an affiliate for PokerStars is competitive and the reason why is the huge scale up of CPA’s offered.

Here is the standard Poker Stars Affiliate Program CPA:

  • 1 to 24 $75 per player
  • 25 to 49 $110 per player
  • 50 to 75 $150 per player
  • 76 to 99 $200 per player
  • 100 to 149 $225 per player
  • 150 to 199 $250 per player
  • 200 to 249 $275 per player
  • 250+ $300 per player

These player numbers are for your qualified players which means that they have earned 100 FPP’s. There is not an MGR offering available yet at PokerStars.com and here is what Carly Says on the PAP forums..

The affiliate program for poker stars is one everyone should be a member of, but there are a few considerations.

Sign up through the PAW Network to promote Poker Stars. You get the same CPA rate but you can utilize the sick freerolls that are offered to members of the PAW network. You can not promote through the PAW network if you establish an affiliate account with Poker Stars directly so unless there is a compelling reason why you want to go direct it is a virtual no brainer to sign up through the PAW network and promote Poker Stars, as well as some other major online poker rooms.
